ZeroOTP generates TOTP codes on your device. Once your vault data is available locally, your current codes continue to work without internet access.

How do I add an account?

Open the app and add a TOTP account by scanning a QR code, importing a QR code image, pasting an otpauth URI, or entering the account details manually where available.

How does export work?

Export creates a portable backup file through the available system export flow. Exported backups contain plaintext OTP secrets so other authenticator apps can read them. Store exported files securely and delete copies you no longer need.

What happens if I forget my passcode?

Your passcode is used to unlock encrypted OTP data. If you forget it, ZeroOTP cannot recover your passcode for you. Keep backup recovery codes from each service you protect and keep a secure export if you choose to create one.

How do I disable biometrics?

Open Settings in the app and turn off biometric unlock. Your device may also let you manage Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint permissions in system settings.

Do codes need internet?

No. TOTP codes are generated locally from the stored secret and current time. Internet is only needed for account sync, sign-in, import/export flows that use online services, or device management.
